Minaj transformed herself into a Lil Wayne doppelganger on the set of Birdman's new video Replica Watches, 'Y.U. Mad.'

Nicki Minaj is celebrating Halloween early.

The female MC mimicked her mentor and Young Money labelmate, Lil Wayne, on the set of Cash Money CEO Birdman’s “Y.U. Mad” video shoot last week in Miami, wearing a blonde, dreadlocked wig, a wifebeater, sagging pants and boxers pulled up on display. The raptress also rocked an iced-out watch and chain.

A stoic Minaj stood by as her boss explained to MTV News the concept behind the song, saying that the former was the one who pitched the idea. “Nicki gave me that song. She called me one day like, ‘Stunna, I got a record for you I think you would like,’” said Birdman to MTV. “I jumped on it and put my son on it. I liked it from the start. Working with Nicki is just special anyway and I felt good about it, so we rocked with it.”

However, Minaj wasn’t able to hold back, and let loose a few giggles while Lil Wayne added his thoughts about the song.

“I don’t think no one is actually mad. It’s just a figure of speech,” said Wayne. “I think Nick just sounded good saying mad at that point in the song. I don’t think it would’ve been cooler if she said, ‘That’s why you glad.’ We have to ask her next time I see her,” he said jokingly.

“Y.U. Mad” is the first single off Birdman’s upcoming album, Bigga Than Life. The album is due in stores November 21.
